“I love helping brides find their perfect gown, feeling comfortable and confident for their special day. Seeing the genuine joy makes everything worth it.” When it comes to our friend Kirsten at Kirsten Paige Bridal, we don’t know what part we admire more – her sweet spirit or her gorgeous custom gowns. Kirsten Paige Bridal gowns are truly works of art, and we are huge fans. It was such an honor working with Kirsten at The Big Fake Wedding San Diego, and we’re thrilled to share more about her and her business in today’s Vendor Highlight.

“Working with Kirsten at The Big Fake Wedding San Diego was such an enjoyable experience. With her infectious energy and level of talent she won our hearts over. We are positive that she would win yours too!” – The Big Fake Wedding San Diego Team

Tell us a little bit about the story of Kirsten Paige Bridal.

Kirsten Paige started on July 4th, 2014 after one of the most influential conversations I’ve ever had with my dad. Moments before my biggest interview yet (with one of the largest bridal brands in NYC) my dad asked me…. “Why would you want to design for someone else when you can design for yourself?” That one sentence carried with me throughout the entire interview. The moment I walked out of the door after the interview ended I knew I was meant to created Kirsten Paige. Ever since then Kirsten Paige has strived to create timeless, non-traditional gowns for the radiant, carefree, whimsical bride.

What is the best part of your job?

The best part of my job is helping brides find their perfect gown, feeling comfortable and confident for their special day. Seeing the genuine joy makes everything worth it.

Describe a highlight or pivotal moment in your career.

A huge highlight in my career was being featured on KUSI Good Morning San Diego. That was my first television debut and boy was it an adrenaline rush! The segment showcased my gowns as well as talked about my company and my first bridal expo…THE BIG FAKE WEDDING!

What advice would you give to aspiring small business owners?

The advice I’d give to aspiring small business owners is patience. I knew going into this that building a company is a process however, there are several highs and lows all the time. Just keep growing and constantly reflect on where you were a week, month or even year ago. I have little to no patience and this journey has definitely challenged me in that area. Good things truly do come to those who wait.

What is your favorite part of The Big Fake Wedding experience?

I would say my favorite part of The Big Fake Wedding experience was getting to make connections with everyone whether they were a bride, vendor or even staff [To this day I still work with a few of the vendors from the event]. It’s crazy how small the world truly is and you never know what will happen. I always say everyone knows at least one person getting married…it is all about the connections!
