Welcome to the much-anticipated exclusive look at the process behind The 1st Athens NotWedding!
Step 1: Inspiration
The Athens inspiration board sported deep, romantic hues of ruby red and smokey blue — the overall effect was reminiscent of the iconic UGA red & black: Bulldogs gone bridal, if you will.

Step 2: INTRODUCing Katie & Andrew!
Our NotWedding bride Katie met Andrew in our venue, The Melting Point, a little over 3 years ago when he was a bachelor in the Men of the Classic City Bachelor Auction. They hit it off immediately, and Katie knew from the start that there was something very special about this one. She didn’t get to “buy” him that night, but he DID ask her on a date! One date led to another, and Andrew proposed a little over a year later! You can read more of their love story here. They were so much fun to hang out with at the Save the Date shoot and it was a joy to hear them recite the vow renewals they had written each other for the main event. It was an honor to be represented by you, Rasmussens!

Step 3: Bonding
For our 1st Athens NotWedding event, we decided to get all our vendors to meet up at Terrapin Beer Company for a tasting tour and an event we fondly know as the Rehearsal Dinner. We brought dinner in, and the team got to hang out, discuss ideas and bond as a NotWedding family.
