Ansley and Kevin are from two different cities, two different high schools, two different colleges, and have heritage from two different continents. Yet they’re here, together, and it is perfect. The pair met after college through a mutual friend and started off tweeting each other (yes, tweeting). Kevin asked Ansley on a date, and then another – and then two years later they got married in Monroe, Georgia. They lived in Athens for awhile and now love calling Atlanta home!
We are so excited to celebrate Ansley and Kevin as they renew their vows at Foxhall Resort Sunday night at The Big Fake Wedding Atlanta. We hope to see you there!

What was the most unique part of your engagement story?
The most unique part of our engagement story was that I sat Kevin down and told him I would wait for him as long as it takes. We didn’t have to get married anytime soon, and I was perfectly content with being engaged a little longer. Little did I know he was planning on proposing in 10 minutes!
What was the absolute best memory from your wedding day?
The absolute best memory from our wedding day was writing and exchanging our vows. It felt like no one else was in the room, and it’s the kind of moment I have locked in my memory and never will forget. I’m so excited to relive this moment at The Big Fake Wedding!
What is the best gift you have ever given each other?
I still think the best gift I’ve given Kevin is a whale shark swim at Georgia Aquarium’s, “Journey with Gentle Giants.” Little did I know he was scared of sharks 🙂 The best gift that he’s given me is cooking dinner for me on nights that just ain’t happening. I know that sounds weird, but food is the way to my heart!
What inspires you about each other?
I’m inspired by Kevin’s drive. He is so driven to tell amazing stories through film. He films musicians just starting out, people making things with their hands, couples on their wedding day, and unsung heroes in ministry. He’s driven to point others to Christ through his work. Because of his determination, it makes me want to do my best work in the day to day. Whatever we are called to do as a couple, I feel extremely honored to be by his side.
What is the most awesome thing about your marriage?
The most awesome thing about our marriage is that we both laugh – a lot. Kevin has a sense of humor and wit that I adore. Keeping things silly in a marriage is so important. Laugh at your goofiness, dance in the kitchen and laugh at YouTube videos!
What is “your song” and why?
Our song is our first dance song, Chicago’s, “You’re the Inspiration.” Kevin grew up listening to Chicago, and it is both our parents first dance song in their wedding. That was another neat moment -sharing our first dance with both of our parents dancing along, too! It’s 80s and the lyrics are a bit cheesy, but I love it!
What advice would you give an engaged couple?
Enjoy the ride! From the bachelor/bachelorette parties to the showers to the thank you notes, being engaged is such a special, sweet season of your life. As hard as it may be, try not to rush it! And as stressful as it may seem at points, planning a wedding and getting to immerse yourself in the little details really is fun, and completely pays off at the end. The moment where you get to look around and see everything come together is truly magical. I’d also recommend having someone film your wedding. You’ll never regret having footage of the people that came and the expression on your faces!
