The 1st Cape Cod NotWedding is going down this Sunday, and our guests and vendors are getting excited to show up/show off. Since they’ll be participating in a REAL vow-renewal ceremony, we thought it would be appropriate to give you all a little backstory on the loving couple that will be helping showcase vendor wares and services.

Chris and Peyton met after appearing on different seasons of the Bachelor and Bachelorette. The two were in Raleigh, NC for a charity golf tournament and were introduced by a mutual friend. When Peyton walked in the room Chris knew it was love at first site. Peyton felt the same and they began talking on the phone everyday. Chris lived in Dennis while Peyton was in Dallas so the relationship developed across country. After nine months of long distance dating, Chris proposed to Peyton by the fire pit on the back patio of his house. It was a perfect night in June while Peyton’s parents were in town for their first visit to Cape Cod.

The following May they were married by the beach in Charleston, SC where Peyton grew up going with her family every summer. Chris wanted a beach wedding and the location was convenient for all guests to travel and meet in the middle. Friends and family traveled from MA, TN, TX, GA, NY, CA, PA, Canada and Hong Kong. It was a wonderful weekend filled with love that closed with a marriage and many new friendships. Chris and Peyton were thrilled to see friends and family members from both sides having so much fun together. The ceremony was a true celebration with guests cheering as they walked down the aisle. Everyone danced the night away to a band singing all their favorite hits. It was a weekend they will never forget!

“People talk about the spark or the feeling you get when you meet the one. I wasn’t always sold on that idea until Chris opened the door, and I met him for the first time. It was truly love at first sight, and I knew immediately that I would spend the rest of my life with this man. As we got to know each other, it just kept getting better and better. He inspires me to be a better person and he pushes me to my limits. I feel there isn’t anything I can’t accomplish when I’m with him. I think that’s the most important part of a marriage — building one another up. It’s about support and encouragement in good times and in bad. Chris doesn’t allow me to see the negative because he is always finding the positive in any situation.

Marriage is exciting and fun but not always easy. My advice to other couples is to understand that there will be some tough times but always look for the positive and know there will be light at the end of the tunnel. You can accomplish anything if you do it together.”
