It is time now to take a journey back through the recent past, and give our fans a behind-the-scenes look into The 1st Charleston NotWedding.
Step 1: Inspiration
At the beginning of every NotWedding event process, we provide an inspiration board to all our participating vendors. The Charleston vendors were graced with this lovely piece of work. Pastel jades and lavenders inspired a sort of goddess in the garden feel that translated the sense of being suspended somewhere between winter and spring. The collaboration to create a cohesive event that is driven by one specific common vision is one of the things that makes The NotWedding such a unique and valuable experience for vendors.

Step 2: Enter LaBruce and Harrison: our flawless Charleston NotCouple
Remember their Save the Date shoot? They were so much fun and SO photogenic, right?? Throughout the entire process, they were cooperative and lighthearted. The laughing never stopped! LaBruce is probably the furthest possible thing from bridezilla. Thanks for being awesome, you two.
Step 3: Bonding
After the Save the Date shoot, we like to get our vendors together for some quality bonding time. After all, they’ve got to make all their talents and skill sets mesh into one cohesive color-schemed event! Not an easy task. They got their heads together over a nice meal at what we call the Rehearsal Dinner.
Step 4: Tease the crowd
Next in the process, a handful of vendors collaborate for a pre-event styled shoot. This time it was a Bridal Luncheon, and HOLY COW. After seeing the way the style and colors came across, I was practically willing the days away until the main event. It’s so peaceful and lush.
Step 5: The main event!
Alright, enough backstory. Time for the main event. Now, you are about to scroll into some dangerously gorgeous territory. Our three photographers buzzed around the event snapping some of the most breathtaking photos I’ve seen. This is a small sampling of some of the vendors’ work. (See how well the color scheme came together?)
Before you venture on, here’s a reference list of all the incredible vendors involved in the event. If you like what you see, check them out!:
