In January 2011, Malloree and Jordan met in Australia at a missionary training school. They spent six months there, getting to know each other as “friends.” Once the program was over in June, Malloree returned home to Georgia and Jordan to Texas. They gave long distance dating a shot, but when the pair realized they couldn’t be apart, Malloree moved out to Texas. Just one month later they were engaged, and married the following May. Can you imagine a more wonderful whirlwind romance?
We are so excited to celebrate Malloree and Jordan as they renew their vows at The Big Fake Wedding Dallas, tomorrow night at Marie Gabrielle Restaurant & Gardens. We hope to see you there!

What was the most unique part of your engagement story?
The most unique part of our engagement story is just the story leading up to it. Neither of us ever dreamt that we would have found the person we were going to marry all the way in Australia. The timeline might seem quick, but for us, it was perfect. We had a deep friendship that laid the foundation for our relationship. I (Malloree) was living in Texas & Jordan flew to Atlanta without my knowledge to ask my dad & stepdads permission to marry me. That meant a lot to me & a lot to my dad & stepdad. He also had my great grandmothers diamond made into a ring for me, so that is very special. When he proposed, he had his whole family there to witness (I was clueless- I thought I was going on a day date with his sister, Shannon! He even hired a photographer, which I had said that I wanted. It was simple, special, & perfect for us. We had a big dinner with his family afterwards & spent the rest of the evening face timing all of my friends & family back home, retelling the story & showing off my ring! Jordan really listened to the things I desired our engagement to be. I didn’t want anything extravagant, just thoughtful. And he delivered wonderfully!
What is the most awesome thing about your marriage?
The most awesome thing about our marriage is that we are partners. We are husband & wife, we are each others best friend. We do life together even when its messy. We have 2 young boys and life gets pretty chaotic in our house. Jordan is very patient & calm whereas I am more high-strung & get worked up easily. Because we have a partnership in our marriage, there is a good balance. We stand together, working with each other to build up our weaknesses & encourage each others strengths. We depend on & trust the other one. I am always assured that when Jordan makes a decision for our family that he is making the one he feels is the very best with all of us in mind, not just himself. He is a great leader for our family & I am so grateful to do life alongside him.
