Tina and Roy have known each other since middle school (!) and have been together for almost 15 years. Although they started off as friends, their relationship blossomed in college and in 2008, Roy proposed. Roy and Tina married in 2010 in Orlando, FL where they lived for three more years. During this time, these lovebirds were actually the featured couple at our second Orlando event. We were thrilled to celebrate not only their vow renewal, but their surprise baby announcement as well! Shortly after, they made the move west to Los Angeles and welcomed baby Evangeline in 2014. Love these two!

What inspires you about each other?
We moved to Los Angeles so Roy could pursue his acting career 100%. His focus and determination on this dream inspires me to work harder towards my goals, no matter how impossible they might seem. His love for our daughter and our family is also inspiring, he always puts his family first. Roy said, for me, my hard work and accomplishments both professionally and academic inspire him. He also appreciates my bond with our daughter.
What is “your song” and why?
“Always and Forever” is our wedding song. When I was younger, I prayed to God to please show me who I was supposed to be with. I didn’t want to date lots of men, I just wanted to be with one – the perfect one for me. So the lyric, “Always and forever, each moment with you, Is just like a dream to me that somehow came true” is completely true. Everyone loves differently, Roy and I are no exception. So the lyric, “Everyday love me your own special way, Melt all my heart away with a smile” is perfect for us.
What advice would you give an engaged couple?
I think we would encourage them to realize and understand there are two people in a relationship that need to give 100%/100% not 50%/50%. During the wedding planning, listen to each other and compromise. The most important thing about your wedding day is that you are marrying the person you want to spend the rest of your life with. Marriage is about two people taking care of each other, not one catering to the other. If you always put the other first, both will always be taken care of. Don’t go to bed angry and always remember why you fell in love when the going gets tough – because it will. Remembering everything amazing about your partner is at the core of your relationship/marriage.
