Say hello to Callie #2, y’all! Despite sharing a first name with our CEO, Callie Rogers takes on a very different role as our awesome new Production Manager. Inspired by people and stories, this passionate problem-solver was pretty much made for this job! She was drawn to The Big Fake Wedding because of the heart of our company, and we think the feeling was mutual. This sweet mama is a total boss when it comes to producing an event, and we’re so excited to have her on board. Welcome to the family, Callie!

Describe yourself in five words.
Passionate, problem-solver, imaginative, curious, faithful.
Who or what inspires you?
I’m inspired by seeing people on purpose. Passion like that is contagious, and it reminds me that we only have so much time here…. I want to make my life count! On a more macro level, I’m probably most inspired by stories, so that usually looks like documentaries, long form radio interviews and books, SO many books!
What’s the best part of being a mom?
The best part about being a mom for me has been the ability to think of myself less. When Shepherd was born, I suddenly didn’t have the time to be so consumed with me me me all of the time. Don’t hear me say “self care is bad!” because I’m probably the #1 advocate for self care, but like Tim Keller says, “It’s not thinking less of yourself, it’s thinking of yourself less.” There’s major freedom in that concept, and I’ve been sweetly surprised by it.
If you could only give one piece of advice, what would it be?
Oh what an impossible question! I’m on a real Brene Brown kick right now so I’ll have to defer to two things she’s said recently that have resonated: “You can have comfort or you can have courage, but you can’t have both.” And also, “Stop trying to win over haters, you’re not a jackass whisperer.”
In your opinion, what makes The Big Fake Wedding different from other companies?
The Big Fake Wedding has the biggest heart of any company I’ve worked with. Relationships with vendors and brides alike drive our day to day and I think that people-centric mentality shows.
