Are you coming off the holidays with a little extra bling in tow?! Starting the wedding planning process can be a daunting journey, but if you’ve made it here – you’re in the right place! We’ve been planning events for almost 12 years and had the pleasure of meeting some amazing pals along the way. We’ve put together a list of seven easy ways to start planning your big day!

1. Find a venue through Here Comes the Guide!

Here Comes the Guide is the most all-encompassing resource out there to help you find the perfect spot to tie the knot. They have options broken down by type, location and budget. They’re also a great resource for all sorts of wedding planning tips, so be sure to check them out early in your planning process.

2. Book your dress appointment at BHLDN

If you’re an Anthropologie lover like us (because honestly who isn’t?) then you will love their bridal collection, BHLDN! They have incredibly unique styles that are super budget friendly! What we love about these dresses is that they are not made with lots of boning and stiff structure, rather the shape comes from delicate threads. Therefore you can still feel like yourself when you are wearing them!

3. Create your wedding registry on Macy’s

Macy’s has you covered on everything from fine china to everyday essentials. It’s a one-stop-shop considering you can also grab a cute new suit for your honeymoon or a new set of twin luggage for you and your partner. Lucky for you, you can get the full Macy’s experience at nearly half of our events this year. You can browse their top registry favorites and peruse dress options for all your gals!

4. Explore vendors in your area on The Network

Wondering where to find all the best vendors in your area? We’ve taken the liberty of creating The Network: an online, searchable directory of wedding vendors categorized by city and offerings. What sets this list apart is that we have directly worked with each and every one of these vendors and seen them in-action, so we can vouch that they are the best of the best!

5. Create your wedding website via The Knot

Our friends over at The Knot will be an excellent resource for you throughout your wedding planning process. If you’re looking to have an all-encompassing website that shares your love story, wedding details, registry info and more, then you’ll definitely want to check out the gorgeous site templates they have! Bonus: they even partner with many invitation companies so that your paper goods and digital space coordinate!

6. Find a Big Fake Wedding near you!

We know how overwhelming it can be to search pages upon pages of Google results trying to find the best vendors in your area. Seeing them in-action is the best way to find out if they are the perfect match for you. By attending The Big Fake Wedding, you’ll get tons of inspiration, ideas you didn’t know existed and experience the best local vendors in an intimate + fun way.  Click here to find a city near you!

Hope this helps, friends! Happy planning!
