Tell us a little bit about the story of Hitched.
Hitched is a men’s wedding band company that sells a wide variety of quality wedding bands at direct-to-consumer prices. We allow our customers to try five wedding bands on at home for five days, and provide all of the tools and educational resources needed to find a proper style and fit. Hitched was created to help improve the wedding band shopping experience for men. Through our own personal experience, we learned that the existing process was really poor. Most jewelry stores carry a very limited selection of men’s wedding bands in one sample size, making it difficult for men to not only find a wedding band they love, but actually be able to try them on. Additionally, the markups at the jewelry stores are outrageous! Hitched sells the same quality wedding band that you would find at a jewelry store for a fraction of the cost.
What does a typical day look like in the Hitched offices?
Each day at Hitched is different. We’re a small but growing company just living that start up life! With our growth, we’ll be moving into a new office space later this year in combination with opening up our very first customer showroom in our home of Philadelphia! Much like our home try-on, our showroom will be 100% focused on providing Grooms with a pleasant wedding band shopping experience, unlike anything that exists in the market today. Our partners, The Groomsman Suit, will share the showroom with us creating a one-stop shop for Grooms. We’re all about that #GroomLove!
What advice would you give to someone who is trying to break into the wedding industry?
Network, network, network! The wedding industry is full of vendors who are looking to build relationships with like-minded wedding professionals! There are so many interesting ways to work with other vendors to help each other out in the crazy world of weddings. Usually newbies to the wedding industry are individuals running their own small businesses, so it’s really easy to keep to yourself. Don’t!
Describe a highlight or pivotal moment for Hitched.
Hitched is such a young company. Having just launched in June of 2018, every moment has been pivotal for us! In such a short period of time not only have we been able to provide wedding bands to hundreds of wonderful couples, but we’ve built a strategic relationship with The Groomsman Suit, a wildly successful menswear company. Additionally, we have so many fun and exciting plans in store for the near future that we cannot wait to share with engaged couples and fellow wedding vendors!
