Ryan and Liz met in Chicago through mutual friends and fell in love while living in the windy city. Ryan moved back to Baltimore while Liz was finishing up her job in Chicago. What was supposed to be a weekend where he helped her move to Baltimore, Ryan pulled off the ultimate proposal by getting a group of friends to coordinate everything while he flew back earlier than expected. They decided to get married in the city where they met and fell in love.

What was the most unique part of your engagement story?
Ryan had moved to Baltimore while I was finishing up my job in Chicago. Ryan came back for a weekend to help me move to Baltimore, but the weekend would soon be full of much more than a move. Ryan pulled off the ultimate surprise, which is nearly impossible to do for me. It included our best friends helping to coordinate in Chicago while Ryan flew in early than expected to pull off the surprise of a lifetime. We then were able to celebrate our engagement with our friends and family and begin our year of celebrations while being engaged.
What was the best memory from your wedding day?
We took a few moments during the wedding day to stand back and take it all in. The day flew by so fast so we purposefully took time to appreciate all that was happening, our new chapter together, and all the people that took time out of their lives to be there to celebrate their marriage with us. We were flooded with love and gratitude for the day and the people who were with us celebrating.
What advice would you give an engaged couple?
Go with your gut! Many people have opinions on different parts of your wedding, but go with what makes you and your future spouse happy. I always imagined my special day by walking down the aisle to see my groom for the first time. Ryan wasn’t convinced that this was what he wanted to do but trusted his bride to be. We both would not have changed that decision for anything! The emotion of seeing each other for the first time coming down the aisle was a priceless moment we will always remember.
