Tell us a little bit about Dogwood Media
Dogwood Media began on a bar stool in Austin, Texas, when I was waiting for my brother to get off his shift. I purchased a DSLR kit off Amazon in hopes of making the perfect proposal video for my girlfriend. Through mentorships, online tutorials and lots of trial and error, almost a year later, my wife and I are amazed at how far our little video company has come. I founded Dogwood Media LLC officially in May of 2015 and am now actively pursuing the art of producing the best videos I can for the people I am blessed to work with. Although we create music videos, corporate videos and many other types (we really love making videos), weddings have given us an opportunity to have a lot of fun while playing a crucial part of couples’ wedding days. As a newly married couple (late November), Jessica and I know the huge importance of capturing the day you’ve been carefully planning. We love weddings because our shooters feed off the energy of the people and we genuinely want to create a unique wedding video that captures the essence of each couples’ celebration.
Who or what inspires you?
The created world inspires me. From nature to technology, the ability to create pieces of art is a gift and I am thankful for it. That being said, any beautiful or moving piece of art, from a painting to an invention, inspires me to play my part in the greater story.

What is the best part of your job?
The best part of my job is seeing how people react to my videos. I love when a couple gets to relive their wedding day and share it with friends and family.
What is your favorite part of the Big Fake Wedding experience?
My favorite part of The Big Fake Wedding experience was working with so many different people. From the couple renewing their vows to the people that make The Big Fake Wedding happen, I had so much fun collaborating with everyone.
