“…But the highlight of the night was when my team and I helped the staff and other vendors move furniture down the long and complicated elevator at the Space Needle. To see the faces of relief when we helped them gave me joy.” When you think the wedding industry has everything it could possibly need, a different kind of vendor comes along. Say hello to Pacheco’s Weddings and Events, the wedding/event setup and cleanup company dedicated to making your life easier. Not only are Matt and his team as helpful as can be, but you can tell they have a true passion for helping people. It was such a joy working with Pacheco’s Weddings and Events at The Big Fake Wedding Seattle, and we can’t wait to share more about them below!
“Matt and his whole team are exactly what the wedding industry needs. They come early, pay attention to detail, ask questions and deliver an incredible experience. Matt and his team do the work that no one wants to do at the end of the night and they do it with a smile on their face.”

Tell us a little bit about the story of Pachecos Weddings & Events.
I first started out as a car detailing/house cleaning company based out of Federal Way. After several months of “hustling” and trying to make something happen I finally gave up because it wasn’t lucrative. It felt like I hit a wall and was convinced that all my motives for attaining success were wrong. One was that I kept myself busy in order to avoid the hard things in life – like my family. I became more self-aware during this season and decided to shift to weddings and events because of an opportunity I had to clean up after a friend’s wedding. I chose this as my niche. Once this process took place I became more focused to my vision as opposed to desperately trying to make something happen. Pacheco’s Weddings and Events represents a business functioning from a state of peace as opposed to corrupt morals and selfish ambition.
Who or what inspires you?
God’s love inspires me. His love causes me to exceed average in everything I do.
Describe a highlight or pivotal moment in your career.
One of the pivotal moments in my career was getting right with my family. I have been fairly close with my mom and dad, but not with my little sister. One day out of the blue I got this bright (yet uncomfortable) idea to start saying “I love you” to her. Many counter arguments came like, “she doesn’t deserve it” and “this feels so hard.” I spoke with trusted friends about the idea and they thought it would be revolutionary. The first day I decided to say it, the words came out hesitantly. It was so hard, and I wanted to stop, but I made a decision to say it every day no matter how I felt. As of now, my sister and I are closer that we’ve ever been. This was pivotal because it helped me to do things that initially felt uncomfortable in other areas of my life like business, gym, family, and with other people.
What advice would you give to aspiring small business owners?
The advice I would give to small business owners is to not think small, but think big. Also, never try too hard because you repel people instead of attract people when you operate out of a place of desperation. We’ve all experienced the person who tries too hard to get people to like him/her or the person who tries too hard to sell something.
What is your favorite part of The Big Fake Wedding experience?
I loved the entire experience of The Big Fake Wedding – they did an awesome job and everyone had fun. We mainly connected with guests throughout, but the highlight of the night was when my team and I helped the staff and other vendors move furniture down the long and complicated elevator at the Space Needle. To see the faces of relief when we helped them gave me joy. The Big Fake Wedding was our first bridal show and has benefited us in many ways.
