“Being a part of this event with all these creative people was so inspiring. Being able to see all of my print designs brought to life by each photographer was something that was so unique and thrilling.” Totally one of our favorite parts too, Kelley. You probably all remember those crazy-impressive paper goods from The Big Fake Wedding San Diego a couple months ago – you know, the ones that made you feel like you were at the chicest fiesta ever. Well say hello to Kelley, the talented graphic designer behind P27 Creative. Kelley has such a wildly versatile creative eye that you just don’t come across every day, so it was truly a pleasure getting to work with her at our last San Diego event. We are thrilled to share more about Kelley and her business in today’s Vendor Highlight – enjoy!

“Kelley took the San Diego inspiration board and made it into something unforgettable. Her designs left everyone in awe!”

Describe P27Creative in five words or less.
Making dreams a reality.

Who or what inspires you?
Design in any form. I love photography, interior design, makeup artistry, fashion and fine art. I am a huge lover of typography and the relationship it can create in a design.

Why graphic design?
Ever since I was a little girl I’ve loved art in all forms. I became obsessed with computers when my parents bought their first one. When I was introduced to graphic design in high school, I saw a way to fuse the two and never looked back. The field was made for me.

What advice would you give to aspiring small business owners?
It’s going to be hard but it’s worth it; the long hours you put in are worth it because you are getting to do what you love, and not everyone can say the same. Keep revising things and editing your processes. It’s all about learning as you go. Be flexible. Rome wasn’t built in a day; it’s so easy to get burnt out by taking on too much, too many jobs/clients because it’s exciting. You need to take a break sometimes to recharge your batteries. Balance is key and makes you a better person, friend, and business owner.

What is your favorite part of The Big Fake Wedding experience?
My favorite parts of The Big Fake Wedding experience were not only getting to collaborate with some of the other local vendors on amazing projects like table menus and signage, but also getting to know and befriend some awesomely talented people while putting on this show. Being a part of this event with all these creative people was so inspiring. Being able to see all of my print designs brought to life by each photographer was something that was so unique and thrilling. It was such a cool experience that I am so thankful to be a part of.
