Describe Jen Dederich Photography in five words or less.
Natural, classic, real, clean, simple
Who or what inspires you?
I am inspired by a variety of different things. It could be gorgeous light at the end of the day streaming through a window, the lines and colors of a building, the mountains or coast creating beautiful backdrops, or just simply observing a different culture and different way of living. So many little things can spark an idea and as a photographer I think you have to see the ordinary things in a different way and find something unique you can do with it.
Why photography?
For me, photography is something that allows me to be creative but it’s also a freedom. It gives me the freedom to travel, explore new places, and meet new people all while capturing moments and preserving memories. I think that’s just the best job imaginable!
What is the best part of your job?
The best part of my job is getting to know the people I get to photograph and knowing how much these images mean to them and the memories that they will have forever.
What is your favorite part of The Big Fake Wedding experience?
My favorite part of The Big Fake Wedding experience was getting to know and work with so many wonderful vendors! Having a community of people in your industry that you can work with and help each other build your businesses is what it should be about.
