“As we lean in and begin to learn about them, we can start to picture what it will be like to put together their version of a perfect day.” According to Colette at Coco Red Events, the happiest part of her day is when the team is imagining, creating, and dreaming to make their clients’ visions become a reality. The talented team behind Coco Red not only works hard to create a flawless event, but somehow they always seem to be having fun doing it. What could be better than that? We had so much fun working with the Coco Red crew at The Big Fake Wedding Atlanta, and we’re excited to share more about them in today’s Vendor Highlight.
“The Coco Red team is amazing. They are relational, fun, hard workers, and are efficient as anything. Their direction, style, and ability will amaze you and totally ease you in your planning process. Let them take over it, they have it covered!”

Describe Coco Red Events in five words or less.
Client-focused, creative, fun. Or in case you wanted a short sentence, a creative, client-focused events company.
Who or what inspires you?
My mother has really inspired me. She planned and designed weddings when I was a kid. She always sets her table for every holiday and special occasion. She loves it and she gets really creative with her designs each year. It’s so fun to see! And, of course, we are inspired by our clients. As we begin the process of planning this monumental day with them, we start to get a peek into their personal lives and find out what makes them tick. We hear their personal stories, how they met, what colors they love, their taste in music, favorite foods, which season fits their personality and family traditions – who wouldn’t be inspired by them? We love the opportunity to tell that story for the couple on their wedding day.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Imagining, creating, dreaming. It’s not just the beginning that is so exciting, but we love that part of the process. It’s the “no idea is too big or small – we can make it all happen” moment that is so fun to sit in with a bride and groom. As we lean in and begin to learn about them, we can start to picture what it will be like to put together their version of a perfect day.
What’s the biggest risk you’ve taken?
I would say setting up the ruins of a house like a real house, complete with couches, chairs, end tables, etc. We staged the entire house as if someone was living in it. Why the risk? The ruins didn’t have a roof and there was a major chance of rain. We went back and forth on whether to stick with Plan A or go with the Rain Plan. We decided to go for Plan A! The rain just missed us and we all breathed a huge sigh of relief. And it really paid off! The space was so gorgeous. It was so fun creating this amazing space out of such a black canvas.
What is your favorite part of The Big Fake Wedding experience?
The staff was incredible. We were so excited to get to be a part – especially for a moment where the couple renewed their vows after 15 years of marriage. Amazing. The other vendors were friendly and inspiring. We loved the camaraderie among everyone cheering for each other. The cherry on top was the opportunity to talk with all the future brides and grooms. Each couple is at a different point in the planning process, but all of them are looking to plan the perfect day. So our favorite part was the whole day!
