Describe Andre Brown Photography in five words or less.
Creative, timeless, innovative.
Who or what inspires you?
I am inspired by architecture. Most of my “signature” display couples in large, beautiful landscapes, with ornate structures, monuments, etc. I look for big shots that will be double as great artwork to hang on the wall of homes as well as capture the essence of the love shared between the couples I photograph.
Why photography?
I actually just stumbled on photography. I’ve always loved to look at pictures and had that “how did they do that” effect. When I lived in LA, the opportunity presented itself for me to “learn” the ins and outs from a friend of my that was a photographer and I just absorbed what I could, which interestingly, eventually ended up becoming a career for me.
What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
Someone told me once, “Just shoot what you like.” And that is what I do. Ultimately, some people don’t like what I shoot, but some do.
What is your favorite part of The Big Fake Wedding experience?
It was my first “bridal show” experience so interacting with the brides who attended was great. To have that one on one, to connect with people directly, was good to have.
