We are excited to announce that we are changing our business name.
Why the name change? For one, we are ready to stop spelling the name every time we say it! “That’s The NotWedding: The N-O-T Wedding.” We also want to avoid any brand confusion, and we hope to create an identity that is wholly our own.
When brainstorming new names, we realized that our tag line “a bridal show alternative in the form of a big, fake wedding” was effective and impactful, and we pulled The Big Fake Wedding from that line.
We will continue as The NotWedding until the end of 2014 and we will begin operating as The Big Fake Wedding in 2015. Speaking of 2015, our team has been diligently working to prepare one heck of a season for all of your brides- and grooms-to-be out there. Check out a sneak peek here – lots of new cities and a bunch of oldies (but goodies).
You will notice some things changing over the next month (hello, beautiful new logo!) and can expect for a full transition by December 8th. Come December, we will have tons more exciting information to share as well as some pretty awesome celebratory giveaways.
While we are in the business of creating fake weddings, we will continue to work towards our very real goals of promoting small businesses, inspiring brides and grooms and encouraging solid marriages. Thanks so much for joining us on the always exciting journey as a small-business!
