We love making new friendships/partnerships with small businesses — especially ones that are changing the world. When we heard about Black Sheep Bride, we knew right away we wanted to be a part of the movement. So, what exactly is Black Sheep Bride? The incredible founder told us all about it, and now we’re so excited to share it with you.

Black Sheep Bride is an online wedding network connecting brides with vendors, ideas, and products that value giving back. The concept was conceived when the founder/photographer, Danielle Calhoun, was photographing several orphanages in West Africa two summers ago. She came home knowing that something had to give and that her wedding photography business had to do more to help others. She wanted to empower her brides and encourage her vendor friends to join in her efforts to take Wedding Change and Make World Change — and from this, Black Sheep Bride was born.

Black Sheep Bride was launched in July of 2014 and they have already started gaining nationwide attention for the disruptive vision behind their content. Because how could they not?!

They have begun pre-registering vendors (now through 11/15) for their upcoming new site launch and wanted to show all of our NotWedding vendors some love! The sweethearts at Black Sheep Bride are huge fans of The NotWedding and believe in our mission, so they are giving all of our vendors a one time vendor sign-up rate of $250, so long as you pledge to donate 10% of your time, product or finances to the greater good. That’s right, y’all — you give back with your business, you pay a one time rate that is good for the lifetime of your Black Sheep Bride vendor listing. Pretty rad, right?
