After meeting through a network of close friends in college, Kelly and Josh enjoyed two years of deep, beautiful friendship. That friendship turned to falling in love and they have chosen to love ever since. They were married in 2013 and their relationship is authentic, challenging and inspiring for all – and we are honored to celebrate them as they renew their wedding vows this week.

“I first knew I was in love with Josh during my freshman year of college…he was the leader of the student-lead ministry that I was a part of and we became close friends. At first, I thought he would never even look my way (he was “that” guy that every girl LOVED) but as our friendship grew, I could see that he saw me for who I was and was constantly challenging and encouraging me. I just kept praying that either The Lord would take my feelings away or he would direct Josh’s affections for me. After two years of praying for this, Josh told me that he was in love with me and asked if he could date me (wrong order, I know!)…I was shocked. The Lord’s timing was everything and the rest is history!”
“Kelly is obsessed with tree houses and I managed to find one overlooking a lake to propose to her in. I took her for a morning ‘date’, led her up to the tree house where her favorite flowers lay, read a Scripture that defines our marriage and popped the question with the ring that she only dreamed of getting. After asking the question, I washed her feet as the first act of our future together.”
