It is always so much fun to hear the “his” and “hers” side of each love story. We must say that we are incredibly impressed with the similarity and parallels that these two perspectives illustrate – Terra and Daniel are so on the same page and we absolutely love it. These two honor each other and their marriage by celebrating each day and the gifts that come with it. It is such a pleasure to celebrate with these two as they renew their vows tomorrow at the very 1st Charlotte NotWedding – you can buy one of the last few tickets here

FROM HIM:
We have known each other for a very long time because Terra was a long-time friend of my sister. We hadn’t seen each other in years since she had moved away from North Carolina, but we met again at my sister’s wedding, where she was a bridesmaid, and I was a groomsman. From then on, things just fell into place. We went on a couple dates, became “Facebook official”, and before you know it, we were hiking up Crowder’s Mountain to get engaged. Then about a year later we were married in Cleveland, NC at The Arbors.

FROM HER:
I met Daniel when I was in fourth grade. He is the older brother of my childhood best friend, Sarah (who I met the first day of fourth grade). Given our age difference, we never saw each other romantically until about 12 years later (2011) when we were both in Sarah’s wedding. We dated for seven months before getting engaged, then we were married ten months later at the beautiful Arbors Events in Cleveland, NC. The rest has truly been a happily ever after!

FROM HIM:
The best memory from our wedding day was when I first saw her at our “first look”. She looked amazing! I couldn’t believe how lucky I was, and there was no way I could hold back the tears. The best date we had might not really count as a date, but is one of my favorite early moments. It was when we rekindled at my sister’s wedding. We just talked about nonsense, but for some reason it felt special. Since that day, I couldn’t stop thinking about her.

FROM HER:
The best memory from our wedding day was our first look! I can remember not being nervous a bit the whole entire day, but being consumed by anticipation over getting to see him for the first time. I remember when one of my bridesmaids told me the guys had arrived to the venue, my stomach got butterflies and my eyes watered up. When it was finally time to walk down to him for our first look, I started power walking down the pavement and my photographer had to call me back because she didn’t have all of her second shooters set up yet.

FROM BOTH:
The most awesome thing about our marriage is how easy it is to get along with each other. We laugh and have fun EVERY day. Sometimes all day. Sometimes we stay up late in bed just talking and laughing for hours.

Terra and Daniel’s advice to newly engaged couples is to start keeping a journal while you’re engaged and write letters to each other/ draw silly pictures/ write your favorite love quotes in it. Then exchange them the night before the wedding (especially if you plan to stay that night apart) and cry your eyes out! (happy tears of course!)
