Julia Child once said, “People who love to eat are always the best people,” and we like to agree with her. The queen of hospitality would be quite proud of this quaint, yet elegant and charming first dinner party. Al fresco dining is always a win, but add in a dreamy signature cocktail, good company and some chickens…and you’ve got a really good time.
Nashville photographer, Hannah Elaine Photography, gathered some of her best friendors to host a husband and wife’s first dinner party at home. What an incredible nod to life after the wedding (ahem, the marriage) and celebration in preparation for the 2nd Nashville NotWedding. Hannah shares some of her thoughts on the creative inspiration behind the styled shoot below.

“Chickens! I knew I wanted to do a “couple’s first dinner party” themed shoot to highlight the start of a marriage. I was inspired by the beginning of a couple’s home life together — the after-the-wedding part. When I saw our inspiration board, I immediately thought of the sweet little chickens and their cute homemade chicken coop in my friend’s backyard. The green grass and the rustic pallet wood coop fit in perfectly with our color scheme and the chickens themselves contributed to the laid back and fun feel we were aiming for.”
