Short description of the personality of the band.
Southern Lovin’ is a band that represents what makes the south unique—a love of honest and memorable celebration. The south balances simplicity and elegance in a way that can only be understood through experience, and Southern Lovin’ takes the same approach when providing live music. Whether you are celebrating a wedding, hosting a backyard barbeque, or a corporate event, Southern Lovin’ offers the nuance and variety the south appreciates. From the classic jazz standards of Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald, to early rock n’ roll of the Beatles and The Band, and the south’s own Merle Haggard and Tim McGraw, Southern Lovin’ provides live music to help make your celebration full of songs and life.
What is the most fun part about playing weddings?
It’s a privilege to be a part of the most important day in a couples’ life. And it’s great to watch people dance! It’s a sign of a great celebration.
Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Our biggest inspiration is the Beatles. In our opinion, they’re the best example of a band that could keep people dancing. They would often play for six hour sets, and would have people dancing the whole time, because they knew how to engage a crowd.

What is your favorite part of The NotWedding experience?
We loved being a part of The NotWedding because they provide such a genuine atmosphere for everyone involved, especially the guests. The NotWedding team isn’t simply putting on an event, they want to help couples celebrate the new season of life.
