Who or what inspires you?
Our clients – of course! Inspiration comes easily when each couple we meet brings a unique perspective, packing their own passion into every project. We pull from their bond, love, excitement, and personal backgrounds and use that to drive the entire planning process.
Describe a highlight or pivotal moment in your career.
After years of designing and coordinating red carpet events, we knew we needed a change and were looking for something more personal. We wanted the opportunity to develop close relationships with our clients by making an impact in meaningful and creative ways. While it was a big transition, we knew we made the right decision, as nothing can replace the joy and happiness we see from brides and grooms on their big day!
What advice would you give to aspiring small business owners?
Be reasonable about your time management and honest about your priorities. It’s important to stay true to your original vision for your business, while at the same time, allowing yourself room for creative growth. This could mean scaling back on the amount of jobs you take, allowing you to better focus on each individual project, or thinking big and bringing in additional help to tackle your work load. Every business is different; you don’t have to model yourself after another.
What is your favorite part of The Big Fake Wedding experience?
The vendor collaboration – hands down! The Big Fake Wedding brings truly exceptional creatives together in one room. The relationships created during the process can quite possibly become lasting bonds that continue to inspire you and your company for years to come!
