Lauren and Bradley met at the non-profit organization where they both worked. Some mutual friends had encouraged them to meet, so they finally agreed to have coffee and get to know one another. That initial coffee date turned into two weeks straight of date nights where Lauren and Bradley talked about everything from desires to dreams. After that, they both knew they were falling for each other, and apparently when you know, you just know! These lovebirds were engaged within nine months, and married just five months after that.

We are so excited to celebrate Lauren and Bradley as they renew their vows at The Big Fake Wedding Virginia Beach, tomorrow night at The Yacht Club at Marina Shores. We hope to see you there!

From Her:
What was the most unique part of your engagement story?
The most unique part of our engagement story is that I had a dream the night before of exactly how Bradley was going to propose. It was Easter, so Bradley gave me an Easter basket with eggs each containing a different love note. The final egg – you guessed it – held my engagement ring.

What is the most awesome thing about your marriage?
The most awesome thing about our marriage is that it’s not perfect. That might seem like a strange answer, and many times I wish we WERE perfect. But imperfections cause us to keep learning about one another, extend grace when we struggle in our weaknesses, and offer forgiveness for wrongs done. We aren’t perfect, but we cling to Jesus and He takes us in our brokenness and works to make us more like Him.

From Him:
What is the best gift you have ever given each other?
The best gift we’ve ever given each other is our five kids. They make our lives richer, fuller and we get to enjoy them every day of our lives.

What was the absolute best memory from your wedding day?
Being somewhat traditionalists, we didn’t see each other before the wedding ceremony began. I’ll never forget how beautiful Lauren was when she walked down the aisle that day.
