Clay and Kelsie started out as friends in high school. They first met while working together at HEB, and it was love at first site when he asked if she needed help in the dairy isle. After graduation they started dating, and three years later they had a little barn wedding in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Since then they have welcomed five handsome boys into the world and spend every waking moment at the baseball field! We can’t wait to celebrate Kelsie and Clay at The Big Fake Wedding San Antonio!

What was the most unique part of your engagement story?
From her: The most unique thing about our engagement was clay putting the ring on my sweet little Yorkie’s collar. She ran up to me and I saw this gorgeous ring shining on her collar. Clay knelt down and popped the question.

What inspires you about each other?
From him: The thing that inspires me most about my wife is her relentless effort to keep the family together. With 5 kids we are often in separate places at different times and rarely together. Yet somehow she makes the time to ensure we are all taken care of and see the true value of family. She may get tired, she may have a rough day, but she never lets it affect her love for her family.

From her: What inspires us every day is to be the best parents to our kids. Be adventurous. Be daring. Be brave. Have fun and live life to the fullest! Our kids inspire us to enjoy life every day!

What is the most awesome thing about your marriage?
From him: The most awesome thing about my marriage is I get to spend every day with my best friend. The most dull, boring day always is a blast with her. We can be open and unguarded with each other, that is truly special. In life you will experience many things. I cannot imagine experiencing anything without her, nor would I want to.

What is the best gift you have ever given each other?
From her: The best gift we given each other has to be all our Boys! We have FIVE amazing, loving crazy boys!

What advice would you give an engaged couple?
From her: My advice to an engaged couple is Don’t take life too seriously. Life is short, spend all your days laughing! Travel as much as possible!
