Say hello to our friends over at Nashville Bride Guide! We’re so excited to be partnering with them for next week’s event at The Cordelle. As our first Spring event of the year, we’ve invited them on the blog today to share their tips on incorporating Pantone’s oh-so springy + bright color of the year: greenery! Read on for how to make your 2017 wedding on-trend.

Every year we anxiously await Pantone’s announcement for the color of the year. It’s huge in the wedding world and really sets the stage for what we’ll see design-wise in weddings to come. And when greenery was announced for 2017, I jumped for joy and was so excited for a fresh green start to the year. There are so many fun and creative ways to use this color in your wedding. The best part is, greenery is one of the main colors in Nashville’s Big Fake Wedding color scheme this year! We’re excited to see what the designers come up with to go along with the earthy color palette on March 16th at The Cordelle (grab your tickets here!). But in the meantime, we’ll let you in on Nashville Bride Guide’s 5 ways to incorporate greenery into your wedding.

1) Greenery in Your Florals + Plant Decor
Adding green plants and floral decor at your wedding is a great way to incorporate the green trend! A full green wedding bouquet complete with succulents is definitely a showstopper! Adding elements like topiaries and green moss throughout your wedding is also a fun way to bring on the green!

2) Greenery Wreaths + Signage
Using greenery in an unexpected way is SO on trend for 2017! Think hanging greenery wreaths. You can even suspending them in open air to create a more whimsical look – so much fun! Attach leaves to your wedding signage or surround your gobo initial with a wreath for a more organic look.

3) Accenting Food and Cakes with Greenery
Incorporating hints of green into your wedding food is a fun spin on the green trend! Adding greenery to the outside of your simplistic (or naked!) wedding cake and offering a more heathy green option for your guests to nosh on during your wedding will be very much appreciated (like these salads at Lauren + Taylor’s wedding!).

4) Greenery in Your Lighting
Hanging greenery on your wedding chandeliers is already making waves in 2017! Ask your florist to lay sprigs of greenery across a small industrial chandelier to soften the look or go big with a rectangular lit chandy dripping with greenery to maximize your wow-factor!

5) Greenery as an Accent Color
Whether you choose green gowns for your bridesmaids, incorporate green napkins into your place settings or tie elegant green ribbon to your ceremony chairs, you can’t go wrong with a pop of color at your wedding – especially green!

No matter how you choose to use greenery, use it in your 2017 wedding! It’s so versatile and can go with many different styles and looks!

We cannot wait to see you at the Nashville Big Fake Wedding – with all the beautiful greenery and earthy tones! Be sure to stop by our booth and say hi!
